Chargers loose to Jets :: Current Standing 1:1

Jets come to town and outplay the bolts to a 34-28 victory, dropping the bolts to a 1-1 record. Despite a difficult 1st half, Tim Dwight delivered a 70+ yard touch down off a kickoff. Entering the second half, the bolts were revitalized. Delivering several TDs bringing the game to a close 27-21 Jets lead. But when the tough got going the Jets increased their lead by 7 with only 6 mins left in the game. The Chargers tried but were unable to make up the difference.

Game balls go to Tim Dwight for his awesome kick off return, and LT who is certainly earning that paycheck. Brees played well, but 2 ints really hurt the chargers chances of winning. The call to Flutie late in the game, will probably do more damage mentallly next game if Brees starts. Rivers should have got the call, despite Flutie’s experience and TD. If Rivers is the teams future, give him some action.

Chargers got some help in their division with the jaguars holding the Broncos to 2 field goals and the Chiefs loosing 2 straight. Oakland squeaked out a win bringing the Raiders, Broncos and Chargers to a 1-1 division lead.
