Chargers: Off-Season, AJ's Game
Posted on | April 6, 2005 | No Comments
With a disappointing loss to the Jets in the home Wild-Card game the Chargers are looking to improve on the 12-4 season. So far this offseason they have:
- Franchised Drew Brees
- Resigned Jessee Chatman
- Resigned Peelle
- Steve Foley
- Extend McCardell 2 years
- Release Doug Flutie
Draft day is still 3 weeks away, and there is speculation that the 49ers may be looking to trade for Drew Brees or Phillip Rivers, as the current crop of draft able players doesn’t look so hot.
In other news the Chargers will host the Dallas Cowboys in the season opener, during a nationally televised game. Considering the Chargers only had 1 nationally televised game last year, this is a big deal. They will also visit Lambeau for a nationally televised pre-season game against the Packers.
