How bout dem Padres…

Padres defeated the Brewers last night at Petco, in a long 2-1 finish. The final run came with 2 outs, and a runner on, and pinch hitter Miguel Ojeda comes up with a clutch double. Padres have had an unbelieveable May with 21 wins, and 10 consecutive home wins.
At 32-19, they sit 3 games a head of the Arizona Diamondbacks, 5.5 ahead of the Doggers, and 8 ahead of the Giants. Not bad… not bad at all.
The season isn’t half over yet, but the Padres have proven they can hang with the best of the National League, sweeping the Marlins and Braves, and taking the series from St. Louis on the road. Cubbies come to Petco soon, to take their crack at the Friars.
