Broncos beat the Bolts 20-17…

0-2 now in 2005. 2 4th Quarter leads lost now on the year. Giants come into town for a Sunday Night game next week.

Elam has another game winning field goal, Brees looks like he’s on his way out with another interception and 175 passing yards. He won’t be out because he wants to its because our offensive line has crumbled and allowed another 4 sacks. Brees is not the mobile quarterback that Plummer is. He needs his time in the pocket. When he gets time… he made the plays.

And where was LT in the passing plan? Were these the 1 in 3 plays that Brees was running from defenders? LT’s receptions always have seemed to come when Brees was under pressure. For all those who said Gate was missing and that was the problem last week… can now shut up. Gates got his receptions, but didn’t make a major difference in the game.

In one way, we were lucky. The Bronco’s score should have been a lot higher. 2 missed field goals and two touchdowns reversed due to stupid penalties on the Bronco’s part.

Highlights

  • LT had 2 Touchdowns
  • LT Sets the Record for Touchdowns in Consecutive Games at 14.
  • Antonio Gates returns to the starting line up.
  • Marty wins his first Coaches Challenge on the year 1-0.
  • Shawne Merriman and Luis Costillo both saw some time during the game
  • Darren Sproles still continues to impress.

Highlights Around the League

  • Patriots loose to the Panthers
  • Seattle defeats Atlanta
  • Green Bay loose to Cleveland.
  • McNabb had 5 Touchdown Passes (great for fantasy points)
  • With Philadelphia’s kicker injured a Defensive End soccer kicked an extra point.
