g4-Cubed Project

Posted on | September 16, 2005 | No Comments

Last night I started my latest case mods. Originally I was going to install a G3 Motherboard into a NeXT Cube that I had purchase on e-bay. I chemically stripped the cube down to the raw metal, sand blasted and had it Powder coated Silver-Vein by Specialized Coatings. With those plans scratched here’s my latest plan.

  • Motherboard: Gigabit Ethernet PowerMac
  • Processor(s): Dual 450 mhz G4
  • RAM: 1.5GB
  • HardDrive: 40 GB 7000k IDE
  • Case: NeXT Cube – Magnesium Base
  • Cooling: 120mm Case Fan, and 80mm Case Fan

More details to come later…but here are some pictures…
