Zune is the "F" bomb in Hebrew

Posted on | October 20, 2006 | No Comments

Microsoft’s Zune digital music player will turn off a lot of Hebrew speakers. The name of the device, is used as vulgarity, specifically the ‘F’ word.

Obviously the word is made up, perhaps a play on ‘tune’. When branding a new product, you don’t want to make the mistake Chevy did introducing the Nova to Mexico (ie. The ‘No Go’ Car)

I guess Microsoft can’t take on Apple’s iPod without some curse words.
