Mardi Gras in the Gaslamp!

Posted on | February 10, 2008 | No Comments

The Gaslamp claims to have the largest Mardi Gras Party west of the Mississippi. After seeing some signs for the event, Brandi and I decided to gather up some friends and give it a run for its money.

We all met up at my place, with beads, masks, hair spray, and a good amount of liquor to celebrate. Once everyone arrived, we grabbed a few roadies, and walked down to the event zone. For most celebrations in the Gaslamp a few blocks are sectioned off. This even however was over 10 city blocks, from E street down to the ballpark! The hurricanes were over priced (as expected) but the perfect drink for Mardi Gras.

We hit up Maloney’s, watched the parades, and caught and tossed a few beads. It was quite an amazing event. We all just wished that Wednesday was a holiday.
