Chinese Democracy is a Reality?
Posted on | November 19, 2008 | No Comments
Chinese Democracy is suppose to debuting tonight ‘exclusively’ on MySpace Music. The release on November 23, 2008, will be the first in over 15 years when the ‘Spaghetti Incident?’ hit the stores. This will also be their first release of 100% original material since 1991′s Use your Illusion I & II. GNR originally started writing Chinese Democracy in 1994, but then with band drama left the project a mess. The original band fell apart with Slash, Matt Sorum and Duff McKagan, all leaving by the end of 1996. Replacements were cast and the album continued to take shape. The original release date of 2006 was pushed to 2007, and again to 2008. ‘Chinese Democracy’ and ‘Better’ will be the first singles released, with Chinese Democracy already seeing air time on radio stations.
Of course with technology being what it is, several pre-released version of the songs have found their way to BitTorrent networks, so for many there won’t be much of a surprise. Best Buy will exclusively receive the rights to sell the album in the United States beginning Nov 23. But tonight, head over to MySpace Music and you’ll could listen to the entire thing streaming… well at least ‘Chinese Democracy’ and ‘Better’ right now.
On a random note. This album was so over due at one point, Dr Pepper indicated indicated that if Chinese Democracy was release in 2008 they would offer everyone in Ameria a free Dr. Pepper. Claiming that they understand and relate to Axl’s quest for perfection, as it so long to get their 23 flavors just right. When the album release date was made… Dr. Pepper confirmed that it will uphold their promise.
